Commitment to Care
SEED 2021, December 14 - 15, LA
The SEED 2021 in LA will mark Society’s first large in-person event since the COVID19 pandemic. KSEA is committed to the health and safety of our members and conference attendees. KSEA is closely monitoring guidance from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention for both full-vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, the World Health Organization, and the California Department of Public Health regarding travel and events. KSEA’s Commitment to Care may evolve and are subject to change as the Winter Conference approaches and guidance and local restrictions change.
In Advance of the Workshop
When registering online for the workshop, attendees are required to “accept” SEED’s liability waiver. All attendees must sign and date on the waiver in the SEED registration page.
It is required that all attendees either be fully vaccinated or receive a negative Covid-19 PCR test within 72 hours of departing for the conference.
Definition of “Fully Vaccinated” (CDC guidance): 2 weeks after the last dose of the COVID-19 vaccine approved by the US FDA.
Continue to check “CDC reference” for updates in the “Health and Safety” section.
At the Workshop
As of now, masks are required indoors regardless of vaccination status.
SEED staff is working toward a contact-less on-site registration process for obtaining your workshop badge.
Meeting rooms will be set to allow some physical distancing for those who choose it
Appropriate signage and/or floor decals will be put in place to reinforce safety reminders
Hand sanitizer stations will be positioned throughout the meeting space
After the Workshop
If an attendee tests positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of leaving the workshop, the attendee is required to notify SEED staff immediately.
KSEA will communicate to attendees, if needed, up until 14 days after the last day of the conference.
