Jin Ouk Choi

Dr. Jin Ouk Choi is an Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He received his M.S.E. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. He has research and industry experience in Construction Engineering and Management, Modular Construction, Design Standardization, Pre-project Planning, and Diversity and Inclusion in Construction Workforce. Since starting at UNLV in August 2016, he has secured $3.5M from reputable funding agencies such as NSF, CII, DOE, Tesla, and USDOT-UTC. He has published 28 articles in refereed journals, 21 articles in refereed conference proceedings, and 24 technical reports/articles/tools. He is associate editor of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)’s Journal of Management in Engineering and the International Journal of Industrialized Construction. As a co-chair, he is hosting the 9th International Conference on Construction Engineering and Project Management (ICCEPM) in Las Vegas, Nevada, from June 20 to June 23, 2022.
